Physicals

On Thursday, August 28th at 11am - a bus will travel from Deering to Clear Choice MD in Scarborough. This is a walk in clinic that provides sports physicals for $25. They have all of the necessary paperwork to be completed...students just need the $25.

Deering Boys Soccer is in great need of parent volunteers to lead fundraising efforts for the 2015 season. Fundraising is needed for team outings, our end-of-year awards banquet, our summer league and tournaments fees, and our player kits. Tryouts for School Team

Tryouts for the Deering High School Boys Soccer Fall Team start Monday, August 17th, through Friday, August 21st, with Varsity playing the Lewiston Tournament on Saturday, August 22nd. Tryouts will be double sessions (mornings 8:00-9:45am, and evenings 5:00-6:45pm). Players must attend all sessions. Initial team assignments will be announced by Wednesday, August 19th, to allow students time to explore other Fall sports if they so choose. It is our wish to keep all players who tryout, however, our ability ultimately depends on our total numbers. Those who do not make a team will have options to play other Fall sports, such as football and cross-country. 

What you will need for tryouts:
1) Signed co-curricular permission form. Found below:

2) Up-to-date proof of physical from a physician either faxed to the school, or handed into the Athletics Department.

3) Cleats, shinguards, watterbottle, mouthguard (I suggest having one custom molded by a dentist), sneakers for running.
